Appointments to see the Doctor

bloodpressurePatients are seen by appointment, emergencies will be seen without an appointment. However, this can cause surgeries to run behind and although we try to keep to appointment times, it is possible you may have to wait.

Our aim is for you to be seen by a doctor within 48 hours to meet NHS guidelines whether your appointment is urgent or not.

Appointments can be made in person or by telephone on 0845 120 44 21. Please make a separate appointment for each person. You have the right to express preference to see a specific doctor.

Appointments are normally every 10 minutes, but some patients unpredictably need more time with the doctor. If delay should occur, we would appreciate your patience and understanding.

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. This will allow us to offer it to someone else who may be in pain. You can also cancel an appointment in or out of office hours by texting your name, DOB, and appointment date and time to Tel: 07818222330.  Please do not ring or leave a voice message as it will not be answered. This mobile phone is for texting appointment cancellations only.

The practice uses computers for recording of medical conditions, repeat prescribing and preventative care. All data held is strictly confidential.

If you have not been seen at the surgery for three years (or one year for those over 75) you can request a check up appointment if you wish.

Appointments to see the Practice Nurse

Appointment times with the nurses vary.  Please enquire at reception.  It is helpful if we know the reason for the appointment so that the appropriate amount of time can be allocated.

The Practice Nurse is available for blood tests, blood pressure checks, Diabetic, Asthma & Coronary Heart Disease reviews, cervical smear tests, ear syringing, child vaccinations, dressings & travel vaccines and advice.

If you need to speak with a doctor or Practice Nurse by telephone, please call between 11.30am to 12.30pm or 3.30pm to 4.00pm.
